VDS RE-TRANSFER PRINTERS

What's the difference? You will see the Victor Data Systems manufactured printer under several different names. Datacard RP90. Dai-Nippon CX-330. XID 560, 570, 580, 590. They all look the same. They all give a high quality edgeless printed card on any plastic material. But what's the difference?

The difference is in the driver!

The CX330 and the RP90 use the manufacturers standard driver which is fine. But if you want to take your printing to the next level then you need the XID range of printers. Digital Identification Solutions who OEM the printer write their own driver which is far advanced. First of all the printer is part of a family so the end user can make an informed decision on the right machine for the job. For instance if you only need a single sided machine then the XID560ie will suffice. This gives you the excellent quality of the re-transfer technology but without the expense of a duplex unit. But the duplex unit is still there so if you ever need to upgrade you don't have to buy a new printer just have a simple firmware change.

The 570ie is the entry level double sided printer with the 580ie being the double sided workhorse of the family. These printers give you the same brilliant printed card with the 570ie being just a little slower and with a few of the finer functions disabled. The 580ie is the workhorse of the family with encoding plug ins available for many different card technologies. The printers menu has a wide bandwidth of adjustment so that the right settings can be maintained for different card structures and technologies. All the adjustments can be made through the driver and then saved under a customer job or card type and can be instantly called up when needed. The 590ie is a high end printer which can be harnessed together with up to six other 590ie giving you a print farm capable of printing and encoding 360 double sided full colour cards an hour.
